Description
Designed by Mr. Seth Raynor in 1924, the golf course is situated on 147 acres of gently rolling terrain above the great Minnesota River Valley. Raynor designed 18 classic and strategic golf holes at Minnesota Valley, several of which emulate the most famous golf holes of Europe and the earliest days of golf. The integrity of his design work at Minnesota Valley remains today, and is evident at first sight of the course features. Dozens of strategically placed bunkers with the Raynor trademark of steep grass faces and flat sand bottoms are integrated into the layout. The original push-up style green sites have been preserved and offer moderate to severe slopes, generally from back to front. A beautiful three-acre lake is surrounded by mature oaks and comes into play on three holes.
