| Review Summary:
Beautiful course. Relaxing. Feels like a Brainerd resort course. Well
manicured greens and fairways, and white powder sand from Ohio in the
bunkers. Fair course in that there are no blind shots, but challenging
from the back tees (Slope 145) |
| Conditions:
Greens are always fast and in great shape. Fairways are well watered and
soft and green. |
| Scenery:
This course
was built on land that was formerly a game farm. Abundant wetlands, trees
everywhere. No cars, and very few houses come into view. Lots of bridges
built over the wetlands make it feel like a nature walk while you golf. |
| Layout: A
thinker's course. Some tight tree lined fairways. Some long carries over
water from the Championship tees, fair for "Up" tees with less carry
needed. Driver not always the best choice of the
tee for long hitters. Will make
you use the majority of the clubs in your bag. |
| Services:
Friendly and knowledgable Head Pro. Staff is friendly and go out of their
way to make this feel "upscale" even though the green fees are quite
reasonable. New clubhouse set to be completed Late Summer '04 looks
spectacular. |
