| Review Summary:
Pokegama overall is a very nice layout with a good mix of challenging
holes and birdie opportunities. Tree lined fairways, in some places
quite tight but very fair. Relatively large greens for a public course
with some undulation, generally in very good shape. The 14th hole is the
most difficult, keep it below the hole and off the tee favor the right
side. I really love 16, 17 and 18 a great way to finish your round,
challenging holes but you are defiantly rewarded for playing smart. The
18th is a great finishing hole because of the Lake right next to it and
the fact that you can't bail out on the hole! |
| Conditions:
Course is normally in good shape, I played it twice
last year and both times it was in very good shape. |
| Scenery: Nice
peaceful, relaxing, great views of Lake Pokegama! |
| Layout: Park-land
layout... moderately difficult, but plenty of chances to make good
scores for all levels of players. Varying holes designs and yardages and
what truly makes it a good course is that you could really use all of
your clubs at Pokegama! |
| Services:
Always very nice people working in the pro shop and food service areas.
Good food!!! Everyone is relaxed, makes for a great atmosphere! |
