| Review Summary:
A good local course that is well priced at $25. Outstanding views from
many places on the course, but it could be in better shape, and is only
moderately challenging. |
| Conditions:
Has been in pretty bad shape for the past 3 years,
and the city seems to have little interest in sprucing it up. Has some
hills, especially on the Lake Nine, but the other two nines can be walked
with only a little huffing and puffing. |
| Scenery:
Really remarkable in some places, looking out over Lake Superior. The
"Lake Nine" is honestly breathtaking in some spots, despite being in poor
condition much of the time. |
| Layout:
The Lake Nine is very well designed, and would be a tough but fair
challenge, but has not been properly maintained. The Front and Back Nine
are older, and just slightly better designed that your typical muni.
Hackers will want to avoid the Lake Nine, unless they have (I'm not
exaggerating) a dozen extra balls with them. |
| Services:
Usually competent and friendly, but these are mostly just high school and
college kids working a summer job. |
