Giants Ridge - The Legends - Region 6 - Northeast

Review Summary: Absolutley Terrible. I have been traveling to Giants Ridge and playing the Legends and the Quarry for over 10 years with as many as 20 guys a year for a Long 4 day weekend of golf. I have finally had enough. Over the years are group has dwindled from 20 guys down to only 8 of us due to the lack of service and the terrible conditions. I can only imagine the business that they are losing due to a negelcted golf course and terrible service.

Conditions: Grass/weeds in bunkers. weeds and ant hills on the greens (signature hole #17). Brown Fairways and tee boxes. Totally neglected. My front yard looks nicer. If you are thinking that it was due to us going up there early in the year, we also traveled to the Widlerness at Fortune Bay which was outstanding where we had a Great Course and Great Service.

Scenery: Beautiful

Layout: Great

Services: Terrible! We went early for our 3pm tee time on a Friday afternoon so we can grab a beer and food only to find out that the bar does not open until 4pm on a Friday. WHAT? Even when we golfed on Saturday at 12n, we finished around 4pm and there was not a soul in the bar/restuarant. A Ghost town. Only one person was working the bar and kitchen. It is as if the bar has no clue that there is a golf course next door. It is only 20 yards to the first tee box and they have no clue about service. An absolute bust. DO NOT GO!

Review Summary: The Legends is the most scenic golf course around. It was the most memorable event of the summer for me...great course, I loved the fairways, white sand bunkers, I drove 6 hours to golf this course, and it was well worth the drive!

Conditions: Conditions were awesome. Weather was great and course was in A+ shape.

Scenery: Best golf course for scenery I've ever golfed. On one hole we had to wait for three deer to walk across the fairway, it was a awesome sight.

Layout: The best, hole #17 was interesting, needed to go up a club..

Services: Service was good.
