| Eagle Ridge
Golf Course - Region 6 |
| Optical Illusion:
Fairways are very wide. However, for some reason, they seem difficult to split. |
| Speed of Play:
4 to 4 ½ hours. |
| Best Change for Birdie:
The 16th. Uphill par 5 of 486 yards. Two good shots allow you to reach this green in two. Stay right of the green if you aren't sure! |
| Best Golf Hole:
Number 5. 391 yard dogleg right. Requires a long and accurate drive from an elevated tee. Second shot is all uphill to a well protected, huge green. |
| Clubhouse:
Very nice clubhouse over looking Trout Lake. |
| Best Par 3:
The 4th. From an extremely elevated tee to a heavily bunkered green that slopes from back to front. |
| Practice Facilities: Good sized driving range and large putting green. |
| Tee Times:
You betcha. |
| Size of Greens:
Large. No extreme undulation. |
| Speed of Greens:
8 on the
Stimpmeter. |
| Ammunition Required: I suggest you keep at least 3 balls in your bag, plus the one you're playing. |
| Most Unique Course Feature: The fact that this beautiful course was built on an iron ore dump.
|
| Best Chance For A Bogey:
The dreaded 6th. Measuring 503 yards, this dogleg left, Par 5, requires two back-to-back accurate shots or you can write down a 6.
|
| Walking:
There are some steep elevation changes. Walking is very enjoyable. |
