Review Summary:  If you enjoy "getting away" then this is the course for you! It's beautiful, challenging and if you're from Minnesota you'll be back for more -- I guarantee it.

Conditions:  Immaculate, these are the best fairways anywhere! They are huge and closely cut, which the better players will greatly appreciate. The greens are fast and can get a little hard during dry spells.
Scenery: I imagine Rees Jones was probably salivating when he saw this piece of land. It is fantastic, play in the morning or get a late afternoon tee time, the colors are amazing with low light. Strolling down number 18 during sunset will cause any frustration the round may have caused to melt away.
Layout: Very challenging, but very fair. The fairways are huge, but stray to far and the rough will bite. Length and hard-to-read greens will be the biggest challenge  of your round. Good scores are out there though.
Services: The service is okay. For those used to country club service, it probably won't seem that great, but anyone not used to bag drops and tipping the staff -- you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Review Summary:  Top notch golf course!!!! Beautiful setting in the Western Minnesota Prairie.
Conditions:  Public course with the playing conditions of a high end private club.
Scenery: The transition from green fairways to the local prairie grass was wonderful.
Layout: Love the links layout.
Services: Great deals for stay and play.

Review Summary:  If you want to play the best course in Southwestern Minnesota, you must play Dacotah Ridge. Dacotah Ridge combines pristine conditions, challenging holes, and beautiful scenery.
Conditions: Impeccable. Greens are well manicured, fairways are cut tight and are easy to hit from. Rough is fair and the prairie grass is very difficult to hit out of.
Scenery: Picturesque. It blends in very nicely to the native land. Mr. Jones did a beautiful job of creating this course. Certain holes have great views. Finishing on 18 is enjoyable. Teeing off on 11 and 12 presents a challenge. My favorite hole is the par 3, 7th. Just a fun hole, especially from the tips.
Layout: The course covers a lot of terrain, but it isn't overly spread out. Over 7,000 from the tournament tees, this course can play very long if the wind is blowing (it usually is). Many of the holes are protected by either water or bunkers, which allows for difficult access to certain pins. Players must control their irons if they want the opportunity to shoot good scores.
Services: No complaints about the service. I've played the course 3 times and intend on playing a couple of times during the 2007 season. The restaurant menu is constantly changing and has become much better during the last year.
