Riverwood National Course Reviews

Review Summary: Course was a decent test for most on a windy day. The fairways seemed to be a bit weedy.
Conditions: Windy cold and wet
Scenery: Nice scenery even on a cold day.
Layout: Course was laid out okay. Some nice par 4's and 3's.
Services: Service cart came out once. But even on a cold day no hot beverages. I moved from Phoenix and even there they were stocked with coffee and hot cocoa.

Review Summary: This was possibly the most disappointing course I've played.
Conditions: The Fairways were the worst that I have ever seen. On the web site they describe the fairways as "carefully manicured". This is completely false advertisement. I took pictures of a variety of holes, and will post them if I can. I have never walked off a course until today. I will never go back. I am guessing that I am not the only one since there were only 2 cars in the lot as I left the course at 10:00 on a Wednesday with ideal weather conditions. One thing to note to be fair, the greens were in good condition.
Scenery: The scenery was nice. This has the potential to be a nice run.
Layout: I like the layout. There is a lot of space between holes and the rolling hills and elevation changes give it potential. The one negative is that there are a lot of blind tee shots. The worst par 3 I've seen in a long time is hole 3. The only thing you can see is the top of the flag poking out of cattails. If they would clean out the front so you could see something, it would be a great par 3

Review Summary: Early, early spring round, was very impressed. Lots of length, greens already rolling great. Cart path on #3 and #7 need to be smoothed over. Carts with GPS were big help. Liked the graphics. Good start to season, look forward to playing it again. Rate with cart $34.95. I Like!
Conditions: Really good for early, early spring.
Scenery: Nice homes, areas where you see no homes, just birdies!
Layout: Links style for 60%, trees on 40%. Lots of marshes and wild flowers.
Services: Gentleman at proshop very professional. No beverage cart, but it was mid-week early spring. Driving range is very nice, huge!
